the weekly photo project blog

I got this idea a little while ago. I want to get better at photography. But I don't have time to make it to a class sometimes. Well, I have a few friends that are also in to photography. So I thought what about an online class. But that's tough with photography. So this is more of a self/group instruction to learning photography.

From my experience in different art classes, I've found that the rescrictions placed by an assignment make you think beyond what you would normally do yourself. Each week I'll post a project or assignment for us to complete. You'll have 2 weeks to post it to a flickr group I've created for you to upload your photos to. You're allowed to add only two of your best photo's from that week's project to the group. Then I hope you take sometime to look at the other photos and make comments. Then I'll post some to the blog. Oh, and any ideas for assignments will be most appreciated. I'm hoping that maybe later we'll get some people that will want to sponsor some prizes. But this is more for your experimentation.
